about
Born on the Caribbean island of Grenada, Elvis Nelson was always fascinated by the art of music. In his elementary school years his teachers always entered him in the schools talent shows. He also went to church and sang in the church choir. In August of the year of 1977, Elvis came to Canada with his two sisters to join his mother who was already here he landed in Montreal, Quebec. In elementary and high school, music and dancing were Elvis’ passion. In 1984 Elvis took an interest in taking dance classes at a studio called Dance Factory, and took part in the shows they had. At the time, his focus and main goal was dancing.
Unfortunately, two years into his career his knee inflated with water from overtraining. While at home, thinking of something else to fall back on, he started writing lyrics. From there, he started recording at 8-Track Studio. Now, living in British Columbia, Elvis is pursuing his career as a singer-songwriter performer and looking forward for a final break from the international music market.
lyrics
Uh, Baby x4
Girl! Baby x4
Met her on the street one night
She was looking all right
I wanted to know her better
She said boy, you’re just another player
That girl, she’s all right, I wanna tell her that I like her
That girl, she’s so fine, I’d like to get to know her better
That girl, she’s all right, I wanna tell her that I like her
That girl, she’s so fine, I’d like to get to know her better
It’s love at first sight
I’ve got to do this right
Girl!
Love at first sight - Baby Baby,
I’ve got to do this right,
Girl!
Sophisticated woman I see
Communicating with me
I wanna’ touch her hold her squeeze her tight
Making sweet love all right
That girl, she’s all right, I wanna’ tell her that I like her
That girl, she’s so fine, I’d like to get to know her better
That girl, she’s all right, I wanna tell her that I like her
That girl, she’s so fine, I’d like to get to know her better
It’s love at first sight
I’ve got to do this right
Girl!
Love at first sight – baby baby!
I’ve got to do this right,
Girl!
Wow!
Ow!
Wow!
Ow!
I feel so fine she blows my mind
I think about the woman all the time
The way she walks the way she talks
I’m gonna give myself a heart attack
Ooh, Baby x4
Girl, Girl!
That girl, she’s all right, I wanna tell her that I like her
That girl, she’s so fine, I’d like to get to know her better
That girl, she’s all right, I wanna tell her that I like her
That girl, she’s so fine, I’d like to get to know her better
Baby x24
That Girl, She’s all right, I wanna tell her that I love her...

Playing synthesizer like an amazingly fun new toy, all the features of which he can't wait to explore, Devours sings, in a nice tenor, witty songs as self-lacerating as Morrissey's, without the crappy politics. voxpoptart
