about
“I’m from the Downtown Eastside, and music is something really needed down here. I’ve facilitated art and music classes for 10 years and hosted an open mic at Oppenheimer Park.
Cryonic Re-Generation formed with Sean Farrel. Sean came down from Ottawa to play music with me, and has amazing talent. We didn't have a drummer, and kept changing our line-up, but Daniel Mosionier approached us, and told us that he was our new drummer. Lookin’ in my eye, with his drum sticks in his hands, I'm like, ‘sure, you wanna’ play tonight’? Ever since, he's been our drummer. Daniel is always working on his drumming, and has been really reliable, especially at making sure that we are on time, and that things are running smoothly. For the next 2-3 years, Cryonic Re-Generation was a 3 member band. Then one day, Sean couldn’t make our set, and this cool guy came up to me and asked if we needed a bass player. He said ‘I heard your song and I can follow you guys no problem’. I was amazed how good this guy could follow us. Saul was from the Island and played in many bands. So, for the next 4 years, this was Cryonic Regeneration, ‘till a few months ago, when Saul past away. This project got us together again for the first time, so, thank you.”

lyrics
Don't give me no fake smile.
You’re so cold.
Oh you know.
Don’t show me no real love.
You’re so cold.
Oh you know.
Spent all day trying to tie my shoelace.
Spent most of my life, left and right.
Now I’m enjoying my time, if it makes any sense.
Oh you know.
That’s for sure.
Yeah!
Don’t give me no fake smile.
Don’t you know?
That’s for sure.
Don’t show me no real love.
You’re so cold.
Oh you know.
Spent all day wandering on.
Spent most of my time trying to fix shit.
Now I enjoy my time, if it makes any sense.
Oh you know.
That’s for sure.
Yeah!
That’s for sure.
Oh you know,
That for sure.
For you Saul.

Playing synthesizer like an amazingly fun new toy, all the features of which he can't wait to explore, Devours sings, in a nice tenor, witty songs as self-lacerating as Morrissey's, without the crappy politics. voxpoptart
