Ion Storm brings the music of the black diaspora from the furthest reaches home in an acoustic reflection from Turtle Island northwest to the hinge of Jamaica toward the motherland.

Ion Cimarron born locally on unceded land of settler stock raised in loyalist acadia and decolonised by a dozen years in Jamaica played childhood folk blues country guitar until jazz bass studies in Boston and Toronto led to reggae with the Marleys (Grammy '98) Gregory Isaacs, Tyrone Taylor, opening for Pharoah Sanders, Tahj Mahal, Robert Cray and playing bass or guitar with Ermie Ranglin, Byard Lancaster, Idriss Ackamoor, Ras Michael and Sons of Negus, Mystic Revalation of Rastafari and Johnny Dizzy Moore, founding member if the Satelites. Following further studies, a BMus (11) and recordings and performances with Jamaica's national orchestra, Carlene Davis and Mikey Spice, Ion moved to the DTES in 2014.
