Big City is the nickname of Freddy. This name came about because he is quite the accomplished basketball player, and Big Country (Reeves - Vancouver Grizzlies) was already taken. Big City served 20 years in the Federal Correctional System where he learned to hone his musical craft and has written over 300 complete songs. He has won singing awards, talent competitions, and taught music as a teacher for 3 years at Surrey B.C. Music School for Children and Adolescents. He is proud to say the has changed his life for the better in so many ways, and resides in Vancouver where he occasionally busks in Gastown or plays a gig in one of the local pubs.
